Surface Residue from Drug Activity Is a Real Health Risk

Properties that have been used for drug manufacturing or heavy drug use can retain chemical residue on surfaces long after the activity has ended. This residue is not visible, does not disappear on its own, and can pose a serious health risk to anyone who occupies the space afterward, including children.

Narcotics sampling identifies the presence of these compounds so that property owners, landlords, and buyers have accurate information before making decisions about occupancy or purchase.

What We Sample For

  • Methamphetamine
  • Fentanyl
  • Opioids
  • Cocaine
  • THC

Vehicles and Buildings

Narcotics sampling is not limited to residential or commercial structures. We also sample vehicles, which can retain significant drug residue in upholstery, vents, and interior surfaces. This is relevant for fleet managers, used vehicle dealers, and individuals purchasing a used vehicle with an uncertain history.

When to Request Narcotics Sampling

  • You are purchasing or renting a property with an uncertain history
  • A prior tenant or occupant was involved in drug-related activity
  • The property has been flagged by law enforcement or listed as a former drug manufacturing site
  • Occupants are experiencing unexplained symptoms, and chemical exposure is suspected
  • You are assessing a used vehicle for personal or commercial use

Visual Warning Signs

Some signs that may indicate prior drug activity include yellow or reddish staining on walls, floors, or countertops, iodine-colored stains, burns or scorching on surfaces, and a persistent chemical odor without an obvious source. These are indicators, not confirmation. Only sampling provides reliable results.

What You Receive

  • On-site analysis with documented findings
  • A written report identifying what was detected and where
  • Recommendations for decontamination if warranted
